Introduction:
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate who has a passion for working with children. This opportunity is being advertised on behalf of a well-known childcare provider.
Working with children will require a candidate with good communication skills, a caring nature and someone who is willing to gain valuable work experience to progress into an apprenticeship.
Requirements:
The candidate will complete an unpaid pre-employment training programme which will take between 7 weeks to complete, where you will gain work experience and qualifications in employability.
This opportunity could lead into a paid Childcare apprenticeship.
You must not have a Level 3 qualification.
A DBS check may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how to interact with children of various ages
- Learn how to use safeguarding techniques at all times
- Learn how to help children develop as they play
- Take part in Classroom-based activities
- Timekeeping and completion of all work given
We as a training provider will also support you for up to 6 months after the 7 week course has been completed, should you require additional support.

Training to be provided
This Traineeship opportunity includes work preparation training, Functional Skills maths and English support for those who require it and a high quality work experience placement.
CV writing, interview techniques, mock interview practice, British Values, employment rights and responsibilities, all whilst naturally working towards improving on your confidence building, team work, English and maths practice, gaining sector based knowledge and Individual project work to give you an insight to the sector you are looking to go into.
