Traineeship details

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in quality of things and pay attention to difference. You will be able to spot the difference between that the documented and what actually is visible.

You will be able to input ideas for new features and follow defined requirements. You will work as part of a team and see how another person's work affects your work and how your work impacts to the overall website.

You will learn digital skills as well as keeping to time, being organised, working as part of a team, be more effective with your communication, stay focused on a task and be a problem solver.

Tasks:

  • Analyse users stories and requirements
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
  • Liaise with developers
  • Provide feedback and Log defects
  • Track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Provide timely solutions
  • Provide support and documentation
  • Support with documenting evidence
  • Support with Test reports communications

This Traineeship work experience is part of an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is the Work Preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.

Training to be provided

This Traineeship opportunity includes work preparation training, Functional Skills maths and English support for those who require it and a high quality work experience placement.

The first 3 weeks of your traineeship, you will be attending training with TheLightBulb (via zoom sessions). Your training with will include:

  • Confidence building
  • Interview preparation
  • CV building
  • Team working
  • Communication
  • English and maths - working towards Functional Skills at appropriate level

The next 4 weeks of your traineeship, you will receive on the job training and work experience with the employer.
