Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Working alongside the LYCC team, you will help to manage and develop our social media platforms
and website, creating engaging content to promote activities, events, projects and opportunities.
You will also support the team with publicity, communications and networking, helping to raise
LYCC’s profile and strengthen connections with local organisations and the wider community.
The role will provide the opportunity to develop practical skills in social media management,
photography and video, content creation, digital communications, marketing and networking, while
gaining valuable experience in a busy community environment.
Alongside the creative aspects of the role, you will also undertake some light administrative duties,
supporting the wider team with general office tasks, communications and record keeping.
We are looking for someone who is creative, friendly, organised and keen to learn, with an interest
in social media, digital content and working within the community. No previous professional
experience is necessary — enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
