Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Carry out a wide range of tasks both in a team and individually to a performance standard agreed with your line manager/mentor
- Participate in the training and assessment process to develop and demonstrate a range of skills
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and procedures
- Support your department in daily activities
- Commit to learning and development through the apprenticeship programme

Training takes place at the Beccles Amcor Training Academy which is located on the Beccles site.
Training is delivered on day release at the Academy.
More training information
Training will be delivered through the Beccles Amcor Academy. An initial block release programme of 6-weeks is followed by a department rotational phase before you are placed within a department on site permanently.
Following your initial 6-week induction you will revert to day release training on site.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

After this apprenticeship
On successful completion you will have an opportunity to progress as a maintenance engineer or production technician.
The possibility to progress to a level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician (Production Technician or Maintenance Engineer) if deemed appropriate.
