This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic, outgoing and reliable apprentice to join our growing team as a business administrator. The varied role will involve supporting all areas of the company, whilst working towards an Advanced Level 3 Business qualification.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Full training on our internal systems will be provided. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Acting as a point of contact for customers, clients and suppliers via email, over the phone or in person
- Welcoming customers and visitors to the building
- Booking meeting rooms for colleagues, arranging meeting schedules and general diary management
- Organising filing systems and updating office databases
- Basic accounts assistance such as tracking receipts and recording expenses, filing
- Arranging travel plans and hotel stays for staff members
- Ordering new office equipment, such as stationery, printer refills or staff uniforms
- Scheduling office meetings between teams, managers and departments
- Responding to questions and requests for information
- Taking notes at meetings, preparing the minutes and subsequently distributing them to all participants
- Provide efficient PA support to executive and senior management teams, assisting them in fulfilling the responsibilities and activities of their roles
- Ensuring that the policies of the company are observed, and that good practises are encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, and confidentiality
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the organisation which is relevant to your post within the company to meet the overall business objectives.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong work ethic and initiative with the ability to work without supervision
- Good communication skills, both verbal & written
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions & respond to management direction
- Previous experience in an office/Admin environment is preferred

Your training plan
As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will complete the following qualifications as part of your Apprenticeship:
- Level 3 Business Administrator Standard Apprenticeship Standard
- Level 2 Functional Skills maths and English if equivalents are not already achieved
- You will also develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work within an office environment
This apprenticeship is delivered online in the workplace and 20% of your working time will be dedicated to training and learning new skills. You will be allocated a tutor who will provide you with personal support and assessment at pre-arranged times.
Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence and professional discussions.
All evidence will be logged into your electronic portfolio.
