Summary
This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn through a mixture of on the job experience and block release training through an apprenticeship provider. You will learn about diagnosing and repairing a variety of HGV vehicles, under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The apprentice will develop the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in their role of an HGV Workshop Technician.
- Installation of products and ancillary equipment to HGV chassis
- Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas
- Completing call job related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice.
- Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc.

GCSE in:
- Maths and English (grade C / 4 or above)
