Summary
We are looking for people with the right skills to join the team. The position is to start as soon as possible. We are interested in talking to people who wish to work in General Practice and work towards level 2 in healthcare. We are looking for someone with the skills and enthusiasm for the task.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity, training, and
skills to provide a wide range of services within agreed protocols to
meet the needs of patients and carers within the practice, this will include, but is not limited to:
- Urinalysis, Phlebotomy, ECG Recording, Wound dressing, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Clearing and restocking consulting rooms, Administering vaccinations e.g. Vitamin B12, Influenza and Pneumococcal
- Undertake new patient health checks and NHS health checks. Support the clinicians with the management of chronic disease clinics
- Calling / texting patients to ask them in for reviews. Chronic
disease review / long term health conditions which may
include home visits

L2 Healthcare Support Worker.
Level 2 apprenticeships.
Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 qualifications in maths and English, will need to achieve level 1 functional skills in these and work towards level 2 functional skills.
Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be
planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet
the individual needs of the apprentice.
The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job
activities and training.
On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the
workplace.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade C/4 or above)
- Maths (grade C/4 or above)
