Summary
Velocity Academy have an exciting new opportunity for an Apprentice Network Field Engineer with Node One, a Network Company based in Leeds. The field engineer apprenticeship role in our team is of a technical in nature and mainly involves working with networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Training to be provided:
Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Network Engineer qualification, with training in how to:
· Install, configure, and test appropriate network components or devices securely to well-defined specifications whether physical or virtual
· Optimise and maintain the performance of network systems or services in line with well-defined specification whether physical or virtual
· Investigate and problem solve to address technical performance issues in networks to return the network to successful operation and escalate as necessary
· Consider the impact and risks when implementing network changes in line with work activities and escalating as required by organisational policies
· Communicate technical network requirements effectively and professionally with a range of stakeholders ensuring stakeholder relationships are maintained

About this company
We are currently looking for a data networking engineer to join our thriving field engineering services team. Our company is a channel-only services business. We deliver our services (both professional consulting services and field engineering) to IT re-sellers, distributors and manufacturers including HP and Cisco. We predominantly deal with data networking, including WiFi, switching/routing and firewalls etc.
