What you will do in your working day

The successful candidate will be trained by our skilled employees and salary will be reviewed regularly in line with skills gained and achievements at college. J&J Conversions Ltd are one of the most successful companies in the industry and has a reputation for a quality product with a service backup to match. We manufacture Race car transporters, recovery vehicles and equipment. We are looking for an apprentice welder fabricator and apprentice sheet metal worker. They will be working alongside and being trained by our highly skilled employees 1:1 and working in a very up-to-date modern and clean workshop with excellent facilities. Located on the Walworth Business Park in Andover with good access to all major routes.

You will be doing a variety of tasks, including:

  • MIG Welding
  • TIG Welding
  • Stainless steel and steel welding
  • Aluminium welding
  • Trained in the use of your own personal 3M Air Flow Welding Mask
  • Trained in the use of FES-200 W3 Binzel MIG welding torch for optimal safety
  • Guillotine
  • Press brake
  • Lathe
  • Chop saw and upstroke saw
  • Radial drill

The training you will be getting

You will attend Andover College on a day release basis starting in July 2024

You will achieve:

  • Level 2 General Welder Apprenticeship Standard
