What you will do in your working day
- Labouring for, and assisting the head landscaper.
- Observing and learning professional skills.
- Applying practical skills learnt on the job.
- Ensuring the working areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Attention to detail.
- Good timekeeping.
- Neat, Tidy & Methodical.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Working alongside the Master Gardeners in private gardens and learning from more experienced team members
- Working alongside on occasion the landscape teams and learning the skills and gaining the experience in all facets of landscape installation.

Apprenticeship Standard:
- Level 2 Horticulture/Landscape Operative
Mandatory Qualifications (e.g. First Aid):
- Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
- Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Pesticides
- Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticide Using Hand Held Equipment

- Block release
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Apprentices may progress to complete the Level 3 Horticulture and Landscape Supervisor apprenticeship with the College.
