What you will do in your working day

Typical daily tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • General farm work and maintenance
  • Calf Rearing
  • Feeding and bedding up
  • Vaccinating
  • Debudding
  • Worming
  • Tractor work to include baling, mowing and raking
  • Selecting Ewes for Breeding
  • Dagging
  • Selecting finishing Lambs
  • Shearing

The training you will be getting

  • You will be working towards a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship Standard
  • You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor
  • You will be required to attend Duchy College Stoke Climsland on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training
