What you will do in your working day

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing food for customers and pre-preparation of some dishes
  • Keeping the kitchen hygienic
  • Menu planning and preparations
  • Working as part of a team
  • Plating up dishes for serving

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards a Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship standard including Functional Skills (if required).

You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor.

You will be required to attend Cornwall College St Austell on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

There may be an opportunity for further development and permanent employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

About the employer

The Ring O' Bells is a traditional 17th century Cornish inn in a small village setting between Padstow and Wadebridge serving traditional pub grub. We have independent control over our own menus and are not part of a big chain. We are a small and friendly team in a small village community serving both the locals and visitors of St Issey and the surrounding areas.
