Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As with any small family-run business, no two days will necessarily look the same, but your role will include:
- Spare parts enquiries: Helping customers find the parts they need, putting together quotes and processing orders
- Service support: Keeping the admin side of our service department running smoothly and helping the team stay organised
- Checking in: Touching base with customers after purchases, installations and service visits to make sure everything's running as it should
- Getting feedback: Finding out what our customers think, gathering reviews and testimonials, and helping us turn great customer experiences into case studies
- Building relationships: Being a friendly, helpful point of contact for our customers, making sure enquiries are followed up and nobody gets forgotten about
- A bit of everything else: Helping with general admin and supporting the wider team wherever needed.
We're much more interested in finding the right person than ticking off a long list of qualifications.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Loves helping people and genuinely cares about giving great customer service
- Is organised, reliable and has a good eye for detail
- Is happy chatting to customers on the phone and over email
- Can juggle a few different tasks without losing track of the important stuff
- Takes the initiative, follows things through and doesn't need chasing
- Brings a positive attitude and a friendly, can-do approach to the team.
Don't worry if you have no knowledge of what commercial catering equipment is, how to cook a decent pizza or what the foodservice industry looks like. There's plenty to learn, and we'll help you get to grips with our way of doing things!
