What you'll do at work

Full Description of the Role

As an Apprentice Mortgage and Protection Administrator, you will be the backbone of our client-facing operations, learning the property finance industry from the ground up while training to become a fully qualified Mortgage and Protection Adviser. In this dynamic role, you will bridge the gap between our clients, senior advisers, estate agents, and a vast panel of lenders. Your primary focus will be client care and case management; you will guide clients through their mortgage journey by managing their applications directly from the initial submission all the way to legal completion. Working within our supportive, family-run team, you will balance real-world administrative responsibilities with structured professional training to build a highly rewarding career in finance.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • End-to-End Case Management: Take ownership of client files from the moment a mortgage application is submitted until legal completion, ensuring a smooth, stress-free journey for the borrower.
  • Direct Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing them with proactive phone and email updates regarding their applications while handling their queries with care.
  • Lender & Insurer Communication: Build relationships and follow up regularly with mortgage lenders, insurance providers, and solicitors to progress cases quickly and resolve any administrative roadblocks.
  • Compliance & Document Verification: Review, organize, and securely upload critical client documents—such as proof of income and identification—in strict accordance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and data protection guidelines.
  • Database & Pipeline Maintenance: Keep internal client management systems accurately updated with real-time case notes, key milestones, and critical transaction dates.
