Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and creative person at the start of their career to become a key part of our team.
This is a hands-on role combining community, events, marketing, content and digital activity. You'll help keep our community activity organised, make sure our events and people are properly promoted, and support the year-round delivery of our marketing and community activity.
You don't need to arrive knowing how to do everything. We're looking for someone who is organised, confident, creative, proactive and keen to learn.
You'll have the opportunity to work across a wide range of activities and develop practical skills that can form the foundation of a career in marketing, events, community management or digital.
What you'll be doing:
- Community & Events
- Coordinate event dates, venues and logistics
- Work with event organisers, speakers and venues
- Manage event listings, Eventbrite and attendee communications
- Help prepare and deliver events
- Keep event calendars, schedules and information organised
- Support the smooth running of events before, during and after each event
- Help build relationships with members of the local business and wider community
- Marketing & Content
- Create and schedule social media content
- Help produce newsletters and email campaigns
- Update company and campaign websites
- Create simple graphics and promotional materials
- Produce promotional and community content
- Edit and publish video content
- Promote events, speakers, partners and wider community activity
- Help develop new ideas for engaging audiences
- Supporters & Partners
- Help onboard new supporters and partners
- Keep CRM and supporter information accurate and up to date
- Support agreed sponsor and supporter activity
- Create supporter spotlight and promotional content
- Help coordinate activity promised as part of supporter packages
- Make sure partners receive the visibility and exposure committed to them
- Help maintain positive relationships with supporters and partners
- Ongoing Marketing & Community Activity
You'll support a range of year-round activity, including:
- Speaker and sponsor announcements
- Social media and content campaigns
- Website updates
- Attendee and community communications
- Community outreach
- Event preparation and delivery
- Post-event content and follow-up
- Marketing campaigns and promotional activity
What we're looking for:
We're not expecting you to have years of experience. What matters most is your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
What you'll learn:
This role will give you practical, hands-on experience across a broad range of areas, including:
- Digital marketing
- Social media marketing
- Content creation
- Events management
- Community management
- CRM systems
- Website management
- Email marketing
- Analytics and reporting
- Partnerships and sponsorship
- Project coordination
- Video and multimedia content
- You'll learn by actually doing the work, supported by the team around you.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to gain genuine, hands-on experience while developing a broad range of commercially valuable skills.
No two days will necessarily be the same. You could be organising an event, creating social content, speaking to a new supporter, updating a website, helping a speaker prepare for an event or working on the next marketing campaign.
If you're looking for a role where you can learn, contribute and progressively take ownership, this could be a great place to start your career.
