Summary

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical data analysis skills. You’ll gain experience in data preparation, reporting and database administration, while also supporting the registration of new interpreters and translators.

Wage

£16,120 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assist the in-house Data Analyst with gathering, checking and organising data relating to clients, confirmation rates, languages, services, KPIs, finance and other business requirements.
  • Learn and follow agreed processes for producing accurate data, escalating questions or inconsistencies to the in-house Data Analyst.
  • Support the preparation of routine management reports and dashboards under supervision.
  • Maintain and update customer and supplier databases accurately, following guidance and data-protection requirements.
  • Assist with vetting and registering interpreters and translators and keeping records up to date.
  • Respond to routine interpreter enquiries, record issues and achievements, and refer more complex matters to the appropriate colleague.
  • Share information accurately and appropriately, seeking approval where required.
  • Work towards daily, weekly and monthly deadlines with support from the in-house Data Analyst.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and administrative support to the team, escalating technical or complex issues.
  • Complete apprenticeship learning, training and assessments, applying new skills in the workplace.
  • Undertake other relevant duties as required, including supporting the registration of interpreters in line with business demand and the approved registration criteria, under the supervision of the in-house Data Analyst.

  • use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
  • collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and convert into infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs
  • select and apply the most appropriate data tools to achieve the optimum outcome
