Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This is not a typical social media role. We're looking for a creative storyteller to join our team and document our journey from a young, growing business into something much bigger.

Your mission:

  • Create daily video and photo content, documenting life at Statham Custom Cabins the builds, the team, the challenges, the banter, and the growth
  • Develop our journey into a documentary-style series essentially a "day in the life" channel following our team of cabin builders
  • Grow this into a daily channel or podcast that people tune into regularly, with the long-term ambition of making it popular enough to become a paid subscription service
Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and beyond)
Edit, produce, and publish engaging short-form and long-form content
  • Engage with our audience, build a genuine community around our brand and story
  • You'll essentially be our in-house documentary maker, capturing the story of a business in its formative years, something truly special to be part of

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional creativity — you think outside the box and bring fresh ideas daily
  • Strong filming and video editing skills(experience with tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • A natural storyteller — you understand hooks, narrative, pacing, and what makes people keep watching
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and trends — you know what works on TikTok vs YouTube vs Instagram
  • Confidence to get stuck in on the workshop floor, interview team members, and capture authentic moments
  • Ambition and drive — you want to build something big, not just tick boxes
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Bonus (but not essential): experience with podcasting, photography, drone footage, or graphic design

Unit 16 Five Valleys Shopping Centre King Street
