Summary

To support the Marketing Manager in delivering and developing HAPPA’s online presence across social media, website content, digital storytelling, and campaign activity.
This role will help grow HAPPA’s profile, strengthen engagement with supporters, and showcase the charity’s life-changing work to wider audiences.

Wage

£12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

What you'll do at work

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Content Management
• Collate news, stories, and updates from Shores Hey Farm to support the creation of engaging website content.
• Monitor, amend, and remove website content and information as required, ensuring all online information remains accurate and current.
• Monitor, update, and edit the “What’s On” calendars on both websites in a timely manner.
Social Media Administration
• Work with the Marketing Manager to create a monthly social media content plan that supports events, activities, campaigns, and key messages.
• Help keep all social media platforms fresh and engaging, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Promote current campaigns through Facebook and other relevant digital channels.
• Monitor social media platforms and help maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional online environment.
• Respond to social media messages promptly or direct enquiries to the appropriate member of staff.
• Promote and advertise events across all social media platforms.
• Support the Marketing Manager by gathering content from departments and helping to create an engaging, interactive online offering.
• Assist the Marketing Manager in capturing high-quality video and photography content across projects and campaigns.
Online Fundraising
• Maximise the use of online fundraising platforms and promote opportunities to the public through social media, e-shots, and other digital communications.
• Update, monitor, and review the organisation’s presence on online fundraising and promotional sites, ensuring content remains accurate, engaging, and up to date.
Other Responsibilities
• To proactively seek new opportunities to strengthen and enhance HAPPA’s online presence.
• To attend meetings relating to the events diary and the interactive yard experience.
• On occasion, assist with photography for events and activities.
• Assist with live streams, on-screen presenting, and sourcing interesting and insightful content through interviews and spotlights with HAPPA staff and charity supporters.
• Attend events and source compelling marketing material for social media and PR purposes.
• Any other duties deemed suitable by your Line Manager.

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.

Day-release training will take place at Burnley College.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

Maths and English (grade A*-C/9-4)
