Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Sports Coach Apprentice - Sports2Inspire. The role itself will be working in primary schools located across St Albans. Delivering a range of PE sessions, after / before school clubs, lunch clubs and half term camps inside school. Working closely with the Operations Manager to develop as a person and sports coach. Working closely with the management team to grow into a full time apprentice - our last 3 apprentices who enrolled in September 2024 are now full-time coaches within the business, so there is progression available. As an organisation at Sports2Inspire, we are passionate about keeping children fit, active and healthy.   • Promote the value of the coaching team considering workforce structures and scopes including support staff, coaches, coaching assistants, and volunteers.

Training schedule

The apprentice will receive full on-the-job training, 20% off-the-job training and a full wrap around service from SCL.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • Maths (grade 4)
  • English (grade 4)
