Summary

Start your marketing career with Momentum. You will create social media content, email campaigns and website blogs for our customer and adviser audiences. Alongside the role, you will complete the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, with full training, support and opportunities to grow.

Wage

£21,000 a year

Starting salary of £21,000 per year. The salary will be reviewed after 12 months and again on successful completion of the apprenticeship, taking account of performance, development and the applicable National Minimum Wage.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Create and schedule social media content for our customer and mortgage adviser audiences
  • Write and build email campaigns, newsletters and automated communications
  • Research and write website blogs, articles and other digital content
  • Produce simple graphics, images and videos using approved templates and software
  • Help plan content calendars and multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Update website pages and check that published content is accurate
  • Monitor campaign results, website traffic, email engagement and social media performance
  • Respond to online comments and messages, escalating enquiries when needed
  • Research customer interests, industry trends and competitor activity
  • Follow Momentum’s brand guidelines, data protection requirements and FCA financial-promotion approval procedures
  • Complete training and apprenticeship activities during working hours

What you'll learn

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.

Training schedule

Training will take place during paid working hours through a combination of workplace learning and sessions delivered by Bauer Academy. The exact workshop timetable, frequency and delivery format will be confirmed with the training provider before enrolment.

More training information

Bauer Academy will deliver the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship. The programme is expected to start in October and run for 14 months, excluding the end-point assessment. It is structured around interactive workshops, support from industry-expert tutors and continuous learner support.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

English (grade Grade 4/C or above)

Desirable qualifications

GCSE in:

  • Maths (grade Grade 4/C)
  • Media, Business, IT or a creative subject (grade Grade 4/C or above)
