Summary

A very exciting opportunity to join the Signet team as a Paralegal apprentice. You will have the ability to influence the further evolution of the position supporting the needs of the business. The role will provide broad-based administrative support to the Legal, Risk and compliance team and will may also include some project work at times.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Day-to-day management of the Legal, Risk and Compliance inboxes.
  • Providing project support (where needed).
  • Monitoring legal developments, and communicating such developments to the wider business, and carrying out general research tasks.
  • Drafting a range of documents and providing support to the wider business on how and where to use Signet contracts and template documentation, e.g. Blogger/Influencer Contracts, Photography, Consent Forms, Marketing Competition T&Cs, Risk Assessments.
  • Manage and maintain a central contract database, flagging key information such as termination trigger dates, the department controller and costs.
  • Advising the Customer Resolutions Team on complex disputes/customers complaints.
  • Representing the Legal Team in the Supplier set up process to ensure correct contracts and documents are in place for every new relationship.
  • Advising the Digital and Marketing Teams on marketing regulation; managing copy clearance for advertising and promotional work for Digital and Marketing Teams.
  • Overseeing Signet Policy Reviews – ensuring policies are reviewed annually by relevant stakeholders and updating policies on the company intra-net.
  • Supporting with the Signet UK Trademark Portfolio.

  • undertake activities to ensure a clear picture of a stakeholder’s needs and risks throughout legal transactions.
  • assess risks and benefits to the stakeholder of different options and making recommendations to senior team members to ensure that they work in the stakeholders’ best interests.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

5 x including English and maths (grade 9-4/A*-C or above)

A Level in:

3 x A-Levels (grade A* - C)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
