Summary

Manufacture of Aerospace broach tools to tolerance using manual and CNC milling and grinding machines. Self-inspection in process using micrometres, slips, dial test indicators and height gauges. Follow on process meaning each operator relies on the previous operation to be correct for work to progress. Final CMM and 3D scanning inspection.

GCSE in:

  • Maths (grade 4)

Other requirements

You will have experience working in a machine workshop, be familiar with the operations of a range of relevant machines (such as lathes, milling machines and/or grinding machines), and be able to demonstrate safe working practices in this environment.

You will have good interpersonal skills, demonstrate reliable work-ready behaviours and be able to follow instructions accurately.
