About this employer

For more than 35 years, Kenny Waste Management has been providing reliable, environmentally responsible waste management services for businesses across the North West and beyond.
From our early beginnings as a family-run skip hire company, we’ve grown into a trusted waste management partner for organisations across a wide range of sectors.
Kenny Waste Management was founded in Worsley in 1985 by brothers Edward and John Kenny. The business began modestly, when the brothers fitted skip-loading gear to a second-hand transit pickup and started building their own skips in their garage at home.
Within weeks they had produced their first half-dozen 2-yard skips – and Kenny Skip Hire was born.
At the time, John was training as a mechanic at a local garage while working weekends to grow the business. After passing his driving test and purchasing a second truck, the brothers began expanding their services and building their reputation for reliable waste collection.
The business grew and eventually found its home in Lester Road in Worsley, a little further out of the city centre. Three land acquisitions and a huge amount of blood, sweat and tears were followed by an unprecedented period of business growth, helped greatly by the arrival of commercial steer Neil Mackey (our current Managing Director). Neil arrived from the demolition industry, and brought a customer-focused approach to the business.
