Epark Engineering is offering an apprenticeship for someone looking to start a career in engineering. We manufacture products including EV charging posts, campervan seating and rugby scrum machines.

Wage

£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

You will support the operation of CNC abrasive water jet profiling machines while developing the skills and knowledge needed for a career in engineering and manufacturing. Duties will include:

  • Assisting with the programming, loading and operation of CNC abrasive water jet machines to produce customer orders.
  • Checking finished parts for quality and accuracy, preparing job packs, and updating production schedules and records.
  • Learning to use Omax software, checking material stock levels, and nesting jobs onto materials efficiently.
  • Supporting machine maintenance, basic fault finding, and the operation of associated equipment, including the rumbling machine.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment, including waste disposal and housekeeping duties.
  • Following Health and Safety procedures, participating in risk assessments, and supporting the wider team with additional tasks as required.

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in machine operation, production planning, quality control and maintenance within a busy metal fabrication environment.
