Working hours and pattern - 39 hours / week: Monday 7.00am - 3.30pm, Tuesday - Friday 7.00am - 3.15pm. Break times 10.00am - 10.15am and lunch 12.20pm - 1.00pm.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Support through the picking process in Kardex (vertical storage) and goods in process, e.g, picking parts for production, for plant transfers, check goods and learn booking in processes
  • Window service to production e.g, replacing returns, quality checks, provide extra components requests
  • Goods in e.g, checking incoming deliveries prior booking in
  • Counting of incoming material
  • Quality checks of material
  • SAP usage

  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.

Training schedule

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

More training information

  • Supply Chain Warehouse Operative (Level 2) apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required.
  • The apprentice will train through a mix of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning. Will spend most of the time (around 80%) at work, gaining practical skills by working alongside experienced colleagues. The remaining time (at least 20%) will be dedicated to off-the-job learning, which includes workshops, online courses, and assignments to cover the theoretical knowledge required for the role
  • This combination ensures they develop both hands-on experience and a solid understanding of the industry
