Our school require a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to work with children between the ages 5 - 11.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Work with individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff
- Establish positive relationships with pupils supported
- Implement planned learning activities / teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher
- Support pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
- Support the use of ICT in the classroom and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use
- Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task
- To always respect confidentiality
- Participate in evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour

Training schedule
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard 30 hours per week - term time only (includes 1 day per week at college) - Salary spread over 12 months.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
