Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprentice.

This role will provide hands-on experience across digital marketing, content creation, business development support and customer engagement. 

Wage

£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

What you'll do at work

The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and wider team to help promote the business, generate new opportunities and support our continued growth.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Marketing & Content Creation

  • Managing and creating content for company social media channels
  • Supporting the management of Grant Davenport's LinkedIn profile
  • Creating video, photographic and written content
  • Writing blogs, project case studies and customer success stories
  • Assisting with PR opportunities and award submissions 

Website & Digital Marketing

  • Updating website content
  • Supporting SEO activities
  • Managing and updating Google Business Profile
  • Monitoring online reviews and reputation

Business Development Support

  • Researching potential clients and markets
  • Building and maintaining prospect databases
  • Supporting lead generation activities
  • Managing and updating Monday.com CRM records
  • Assisting with email marketing campaigns
  • Tracking marketing and business development activity 

Brand & Company Development

  • Maintaining company profiles and portfolio documents
  • Producing presentations and marketing materials
  • Supporting networking events and business development activities alongside the Managing Director

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Training schedule

Your Training Plan

The classroom training for the Multi-Channel Marketer comprises of 6 modules. The apprentice will attend the training in an online classroom with their designated JBC trainer.

The modules taught are:

  • Marketing within the Business
  • Channels and Strategy
  • Campaign Planning
  • Campaign Delivery and Performance
  • Customers and Compliance
  • Supporting Operations

Each module is delivered over a four‑week period, with one three‑hour remote classroom session taking place each week.

More training information

  • We are a government approved apprenticeship training provider. We provide apprenticeships for a wide range of employers, large and small.
  • Some of your working hours will be spent training or studying with your appointed JBC Trainer/Mentor or your employer.  Learning the skills you need to be successful in the role and complete the apprenticeship.
  • You will have a progress review with your trainer and line manager every three months, along with regular support sessions to help you develop your portfolio.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade Grade 6 or above)
  • Maths (grade Grade 5 or above)
