What you'll do at work
As an Apprentice Site Manager, you will work alongside experienced site management teams to support the delivery of construction projects from start to finish.
This apprenticeship will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to manage construction sites effectively, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your main tasks:
- Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites
- Support with coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers to ensure project timeline and quality standards are met
- Monitor site Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to project activities
- Assist in organising resources and materials, ensuring everything is available when needed
- Participate in site meetings and communicate updates with the wider project team
- Reporting to the site manager or other senior managers as required
- Ensuring that requirements, as specified by the client and senior management, are met
- Monitoring labour, building material, and equipment budgets and curbing unnecessary expenses
- Supervising on-site construction work and relaying instructions from senior managers
- Reporting any concerns that might negatively impact projected cost, time estimates and quality
- Support Site Manager in procuring materials, labour, and equipment, as well as third-party subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing work schedules and sequencing onsite tasks
- Collaborating with other construction project stakeholders as required
- Participating to site meetings with all stakeholders
- Writing worksite reports to the Project Director, the sub-contractors and/or the client
- Providing administrative support to the Site Manager/Project Manager (purchasing, invoicing, tracking payment etc.)
- Respecting safety instructions and prevention regulations.
- Ensuring the Legendre UK H&S standards are adhered to on site

- S1 Client and User Requirements: Be able to identify and assess client and user requirements and conduct feasibility studies so that the design reflects client needs.
- S2 Sustainability: Be able to identify, assess and manage sustainable solutions to client requirements and minimise environmental impact of project over building lifecycle.
- S3 Health and Safety: Be able to identify, assess and manage hazards and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- S4 Project Management: Be able to select, form and manage the project team and agree responsibilities and processes.
- S5 Regulations: Be able to assess, advise and meet statutory regulations and legal constraints.
- S6 Design Development: Be able to prepare, present and agree proposals for project briefs, make recommendations, develop programmes and develop detailed designs for construction.
- S7 Specifications and Information Management: Be able to identify and prepare detailed designs and manage the project model (BIM), including integrating, evaluating and recommending changes.
- S8 Tenders and Contracts: Be able to select and evaluate tenders, choose and agree appropriate specialist contractors and control contractual compliance during construction.
- S9 Value Management: Be able to work with the project team to enhance value and/or reduce costs while meeting the project brief.
- S10 Risk Management: Be able to identify, assess and manage threats and hazards while optimising project opportunities.
- S11 Project Handover: Be able to manage project handover and completion and assemble operations and Maintenance Manuals for the building's end users.

4 days in the week you will be based at Unit G - Peer House 8-14 Verulam Street LONDON WC1X 8LZ with 1 day release to London South Bank University, 103 Borough Road, London, SE1 0AA

- The Apprentice Site Manager will be supervised by the Site Manager and will assist to complete the construction project on time, within budget, with the expected level of quality and safely
- They monitor the installation on site and report to the Site Manager any deviations from the plan namely in terms of quality and activities progress
- They participate in the control of every step of the construction site from the file review to works receipt
- Representing the company during worksites meetings with all stakeholders when applicable
