Summary
MSM Aerospace Fabricators are recruiting for a hardworking individual to join their team as a Warehouse Operative apprentice. The successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship with Hopwood Hall College.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
All aspects of Purchasing in accordance with QP5, including:
- Liaising with all other departments in order to determine the requirements of the business from external suppliers.
- Putting together and issuing RFQ’s (request for quote).
- Selecting suitable suppliers (from the Approved Suppliers list together with our Quality Department).
- Monitoring the performance of suppliers (Vendor Rating System), including issuing a formal monthly report to MSM management. Hold regular review meetings with our main suppliers.
- Negotiating the best prices, deliveries and terms from approved suppliers.
- Expediting deliveries and taking appropriate action where necessary in order to ensure that there is no adverse effect on the performance of our business.
- Arranging collections where necessary.
All aspects of Stock control in accordance with QP4, including:
- Taking receipt of deliveries and checking to verify the correctness of material /parts against the order/drawings/material specification.
- Booking in stock, ensuring all certification is correct and allocating batch numbers, ensuring that stock quantities are correct at all times.
- Issuing of raw material, detailed parts, sub-contract parts and other stocked items.
- Storing material and parts in a manner to ensure their integrity and maintaining an efficient store area.
All aspects of despatching completed work in accordance with QI25, including:
- Packaging of components
- Arranging courier collections
- Organising all of the necessary documentation

Training schedule
Training for the apprenticeship will be carried out in the workplace. You will be allocated a work-based tutor from Hopwood Hall College who will carry out visits in the workplace and support you through your apprenticeship.

Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4/C or equivalent)
- Maths (grade 4/C or equivalent)
