Smiley Kidz are looking for a new Nursery Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship L2 or 3, dependent on prior experience/qualifications.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Day-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily care and supervision of children in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in planning and delivering fun, engaging activities inline with EYFS.
  • Observe, monitor and record children's development and progress.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and team members.
  • Support children's learning through play and structured activities.
  • Ensure the setting is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times.
  • Follow setting's safeguarding, health and safety and other policies and procedures.
  • Assist with personal care routines such as feeding, nappy changes, toileting and hygiene.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support children's emotional well-being.
  • Work as a part of a team while learning from experienced staff.
  • Attend training and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship.
