Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

With over 30 years of experience and partnerships with leading global manufacturers, Mentor Distribution supplies hundreds of products across the UK and Northern Ireland, all supported by a large and fast-paced warehouse operation based in Bedfordshire. This is a great opportunity to start your career in a professional logistics environment and learn how a successful distribution business runs behind the scenes.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the operations team, supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse. You’ll assist with receiving and checking incoming deliveries, storing stock correctly, and picking and packing orders ready for dispatch. You’ll also help book in deliveries, organise shipments (including larger orders), and liaise with other warehouses to ensure everything runs smoothly. Alongside this, you’ll support stock control and inventory checks, use warehouse equipment (with full training provided), and help maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment while working towards daily targets and deadlines.

This role would suit someone who is reliable, eager to learn, and enjoys practical work. No previous warehouse experience is required, but any experience in a similar environment would be an advantage. Mentor Distribution will provide full training, including opportunities to gain qualifications such as a counterbalance forklift and pump truck licence, helping you build valuable skills for your future career.
