Summary
UFH Direct is a leading specialist in underfloor heating systems. We are looking for a motivated apprentice to join our Plymouth team. This isn't just a "picking and packing" job; you will be trained to take full ownership of the customer journey, from the moment an order is placed through to the final dispatch.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Order Management: Monitor incoming orders from the UFH Direct website, online marketplaces (eBay/Amazon), and our trade showroom
- Customer Messaging: Take responsibility for Order Messaging providing professional updates to customers regarding stock, tracking, and delivery queries
- Accuracy: Ensure technical UFH kits (manifolds, thermostats, pipework) are picked and double checked for 100% accuracy before leaving the building
- Goods In: Receive deliveries, verify stock against digital delivery notes, and store items safely in the correct locations
- Stock Control: Assist with stock rotation and regular stock takes to ensure our digital inventory matches the physical warehouse
- Packaging: Select and prepare packaging that protects sensitive heating components while minimizing environmental waste
- Loading/Unloading: Support the safe loading of delivery vehicles, ensuring weight distribution is correct and loads are secure
- MHE Training: Undergo training to safely operate Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), including Forklift Trucks (FLT), Reach Trucks, and Pallet Trucks
- Safe Systems: Conduct risk assessments and follow all Health and Safety, PPE, and COSHH regulations to keep the workplace safe for everyone
