We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to start a career in education while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a primary school setting.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils to meet their individual needs.
- Support children with their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials for interventions.
- Encourage behaviour for learning and promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with additional needs, following guidance from the SENCo and external professionals.
- Working in partnership with teachers and support team, SENCo, parents/carers, and external professionals to review children’s individual targets/EHCPs.
- Supervise children during break and lunchtimes.
- Meet children’s physical care needs, e.g. meal/snack times, toilet training, etc.
- Participate in training and development activities to complete the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Training schedule
- Apprenticeship Level: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
- Delivery: All learning will be delivered online alongside full-time placement at the school.
- Expected Duration: 16 months.

GCSE in:
