Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll work from our office and help Astral engineers and customers when they have questions or problems with Astral systems and products. You won’t be expected to know everything straight away — we’ll train you.
Your main tasks will include:
- Answering phone calls and emails from engineers and customers
- Learning how to check building systems on a computer to make sure everything is working properly
- Helping experienced engineers find and fix problems (with support)
- Using computer programs to log problems and keep records
- Updating simple technical documents and drawings
- Occasionally visiting sites with an engineer to see how the systems work in real life

- Organise, plan and prioritise workflow and scheduling of work with stakeholders.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English Language or English Literature (grade 4 or above)
- Maths (grade 4 or above)
