What you'll do at work
This role involves ensuring full compliance with the Children Act 1989, OFSTED requirements, and Health & Safety legislation while maintaining a clean, safe and inclusive nursery environment. You will help plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), support children’s individual care needs—including feeding, mealtimes and toileting—and uphold confidentiality and anti‑discriminatory practice at all times.
The position requires daily communication and positive partnership with parents/carers, accurate record‑keeping on children’s development, and immediate reporting of any safeguarding concerns. You will also participate in staff meetings, contribute to the nursery’s ongoing improvement, and attend training essential to completing the early years apprenticeship framework.
