Summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a well respected employer to become a Engineering Fabrication Apprentice. You will be trained in all aspects of the role to become a qualified engineering operative. This will include fabrication and welding and different types of metal cutting and drilling. You will be using hand tools on a daily basis.

Wage

£14,526.20 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Learning and adhering to company's health and safety rules/policies

Training schedule

You will be trained at the place of work by highly skilled and qualified team members in all aspects of the apprentcieship. You will also be visited by a Skills Coach from Hull College who will support and train you through the apprenticeship in all relevant areas. 

More training information

Hull College will deliver the Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard.

In addition you will also complete Level 2 Diploma in engineering operations (skills) and Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge) within the apprenticeship.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade A* - C or 4 - 9)
  • Maths (grade A* - C or 4 - 9)
