Are you looking for a challenging role as a Junior Property Manager where you can be an integral part of a dynamic team, supporting the Portfolio Manager and Estate Manager?
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our prestigious organisation.
Role Overview:As a Property Management Apprentice, you will support the property management team in delivering a professional service to our clients. You will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of property management, including tenant communication, maintenance coordination, inspections, and basic financial administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Property Management:
- Assist Property Managers with daily tasks and projects
- Respond to tenant and leaseholder enquiries, under guidance
- Help prepare and send correspondence, emails, and meeting notes
- Attend residents’ meetings and assist in recording minutes
Maintenance & Inspections:
- Help organise property inspections and site visits
- Assist in contacting contractors and monitoring work progress
- Support the team in ensuring properties are maintained safely and efficiently
Insurance & Budgets:
- Assist with tracking insurance policies and claims
- Support the preparation of service charge budgets and basic financial records
General Administration:
- Support in checking and inputting invoices, filing, and record keeping
- Keep track of keys and contractor records
- Help maintain accurate property records in the computer system
Learning & Development:
- Gain understanding of relevant property laws and regulations
- Learn how to liaise professionally with tenants, contractors, and clients
- Develop skills in property management software, budgeting, and reporting

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Demonstrates agility and confidence in communications, carrying authority appropriately. Understands and applies social media solutions appropriately. Answers questions from inside and outside of the organisation, representing the organisation or department.
- Completes tasks to a high standard. Demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks and applies themself to continuously improve their work. Is able to review processes autonomously and make suggestions for improvements. Shares administrative best-practice across the organisation e.g. coaches others to perform tasks correctly. - Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines. Positively manages the expectations of colleagues at all levels and sets a positive example for others in the workplace. Makes suggestions for improvements to working practice, showing understanding of implications beyond the immediate environment (e.g. impact on clients, suppliers, other parts of the organisation). Manages resources e.g. equipment or facilities. Organises meetings and events, takes minutes during meetings and creates action logs as appropriate. Takes responsibility for logistics e.g. travel and accommodation.
- Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report. Plans required resources to successfully deliver projects. Undertakes and leads projects as and when required.

Apprenticeship Training:

Apprenticeship Delivery: Work based qualification. A tutor will visit you every 4-6 weeks in your workplace.
Units Covered:
The Apprenticeship programme is made up of different units. Apprentices will be assessed on their knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout the apprenticeship and tracked online using an e-portfolio.
These are grouped into 3 themes which complement each other and are as follows:
1) Core Business & Administration
2) Managing Self & Personal Skills
3) Using Resources & Achieving Results
Assessment:
- After each theme is complete, a Mock End Point Assessment is carried out to ensure apprentices are prepared for the End Point Assessment at the end of the programme
- After a minimum of 372 days and successful delivery of the programme, the end point assessment will take place. The end-point assessment is a synoptic assessment of the skills, behaviours and knowledge that have been developed throughout the apprenticeship
- End-Point Assessments will involve an independent assessor carrying out final assessments with the apprentice, to ensure that the competences and learning within the ‘Apprenticeship Standard’ have been met
- Apprentices can achieve a pass, merit or distinction dependent on how well they perform in their End-Point Assessment
Functional Skills:
Apprentices also work towards a Level 2 qualification in English and maths in the first half of the programme if they have no prior exemption (GCSE’s A – C or equivalents in English and maths).
