This is an excellent opportunity to begin a long-term career in the rail industry. As an Apprentice Track Person, you will support the safe delivery of track renewals, maintenance, and refurbishment works under the direction of a Person in Charge.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assist with materials handling, mobilisation, and removal of track components from site
  • Work under instruction to support track renewals, maintenance, and refurbishment
  • Operate within both TFL Tube environments and open track locations
  • Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and site procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced rail operations

Essential Requirements

  • (No beards permitted) due to PPE and FFP3 respirator requirements
  • Minimum age: 18 (mandatory for TFL track access and safety compliance)
  • Must comply with facial hair requirements for FFP3 mask regulations
  • Willingness to work both days and nights
  • Commitment to completing all required training
