What you'll do at work
We are looking for a brilliant, budding analytical mind. You don’t need 4 years of experience, but you do need a passion for patterns and a drive for absolute accuracy.
As a Data and Analytics Apprentice, you will be the "precision" in our digital marketing. You’ll support our senior team by interrogating datasets, spotting trends, and helping us tell the story of why a campaign worked. You are methodical, curious, and brave enough to ask "why?" You’ll be learning to provide the "ammunition" our clients need to make big business decisions.
What will you be responsible for?
As part of your Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship, you will balance hands-on agency work with your studies, taking responsibility for:
● Data Hygiene: Acting as the junior guardian of our data. You’ll ensure the numbers we use for reporting are clean, verified, and accurate
● Campaign Support: Assisting account teams by pulling data that helps shape client strategy
● Insight Assistance: Learning how to bridge the gap between technical GA4 numbers and commercial reality
● Reporting Rigour: Helping to maintain the high standard of "error-free" reporting that addmustard is known for
What might that look like day-to-day?
● Learning the "Why": Assisting in the analysis of digital marketing performance and learning to investigate the causes behind the trends
● Dashboard Maintenance: Supporting the senior team in updating and maintaining Looker Studio and GA4 dashboards
● Evidence Gathering: Finding the data points needed to support a creative pitch or a new strategy
● Entrepreneurial Growth: Learning how entrepreneurs think and providing them with data that helps them pivot and win

● Analytical Mindset: A natural comfort with numbers and a love for solving puzzles
● Tech Literacy: A strong starting foundation in Google Sheets/Excel. (Experience with GA4 is a bonus, but we will train you!)
● Attention to Detail: You take pride in getting it right the first time
● Communication: The ability to explain what you see in the numbers clearly and confidently

- implement the stages of the data analysis lifecycle
- apply principles of data classification within data analysis activity
- analyse data sets taking account of different data structures and database designs
- assess the impact on user experience and domain context on data analysis activity
- identify and escalate quality risks in data analysis with suggested mitigation or resolutions as appropriate
- undertake customer requirements analysis and implement findings in data analytics planning and outputs
- identify data sources and the risks and challenges to combination within data analysis activity
- apply organizational architecture requirements to data analysis activities
- apply statistical methodologies to data analysis tasks
- apply predictive analytics in the collation and use of data
- collaborate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders using appropriate styles and behaviours to suit the audience
- use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
- collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and convert into infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs
- select and apply the most appropriate data tools to achieve the optimum outcome

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4/C and above)
- Math (grade 4/C and above)
