Summary

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Daily work duties could include:
- Preparing and maintaining the work area and keeping it safe and tidy.
- Following written and verbal instructions from supervisors and site teams.
- Using and storing tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment correctly.
- Carrying out simple onsite trades tasks (e.g., basic construction tasks related to bricklaying, carpentry, joinery or plastering).
- Selecting and using materials, including mixing materials when required.
- Protecting materials and work in progress from damage, weather and theft.
- Helping with simple repair tasks on site.
- Disposing of waste safely and segregating for reuse/recycling.
- Communicating with colleagues, other trades, customers and site management.
