This is an opportunity to become an engineer while working at The Engine Repair Centre, a professional garage and mechanics workshop. You will gain experience in engine reconditioning, working with experienced engineers to recondition engine parts, while earning a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship qualification.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Recondition engine parts including cylinder heads and engine blocks to a high standard, ready for re-fitment
- Operate and assist with workshop machinery such as surface grinders, boring machines, lathes, milling machines and valve grinders
- Learn correct measuring, inspection and quality control techniques
- Follow engineering drawings, job instructions and specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Work alongside skilled engineers to develop core mechanical and machining skills

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
