Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
You’ll work closely with the Creative Director and senior designer across a range of branding, digital and print projects. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, ideal for a junior designer who’s eager to learn, contribute ideas and take ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design support across branding, identity, packaging, digital and print projects
- Creating layouts, typographic systems and visual concepts
- Assisting with social, web and presentation assets
- Preparing artwork for print and digital delivery
- Researching lifestyle, beauty and wellness trends
- Contributing ideas and creative thinking within the studio
Managing your own workload and deadlines with minimal supervision
About You
- Typography, Design and Packaging obsessed — strong eye for detail, layout and hierarchy
- Highly motivated, proactive and genuinely self-drive
- Confident working independently as well as collaboratively
- Personable, positive and comfortable communicating within a small team
- Naturally tuned into beauty, wellness and lifestyle trends
- Organised, adaptable and eager to grow creativel
Skills & Experience
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and
- Photoshop
- Solid understanding of print and digital design fundamentals
- A considered, well-crafted portfolio showing typographic sensitivity
- Junior-level experience (studio or relevant placement preferred, but not essential)
- Figma experience but not essential

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
- Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
- Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Training schedule
Training provider: Creative Process Digital
Where training will take place:
Training will be delivered through a combination of in-person sessions at Creative Process Digital’s training centre in Brighton and workplace-based learning. Apprentices will also apply their learning directly within their role at the employer’s premises. Any off-site training locations will be confirmed in advance by the training provider.
How often training will be:
The training includes one study day per week. One of those study days per month is in person at the Creative Process Training Centre in Brighton
