Summary

The successful candidate will support customer-focused marketing activities that drive the demand for TDM services. Working as part of the TDM Team to deliver day-to-day marketing and engagement activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the Marketing and engagement function and activities of TDM.

Wage

£18,000 a year

Salary will be reviewed at quarterly conversations throughout the Apprenticeship position in line with increased responsibilities

What you'll do at work

Core Responsibilities (Right Seat):

  • Source, create and edit content in collaboration with colleagues for appropriate marketing channels, such as website, email, social media, sales materials, affiliate marketing or event displays, ensuring that brand guidelines are met in order to achieve marketing and engagement objectives
  • Use research data to inform marketing decisions, targeting, planning, delivery
  • Produce relevant content, copy and press releases for social media, email, etc.
  • Participate in and support the planning, implementation and monitoring of marketing campaigns
  • Use the organisation’s customer relationship management (CRM) system to maintain accurate customer data and ensure relationships are managed in the pursuit of marketing and engagement goals
  • Ensure the website and social media platforms are up to date in line with business needs
  • Research and book relevant events for the Marketing and Engagement Team to attend to generate leads as part of targeted, market-focused campaigns
  • Support Marketing and engagement administration e.g creating and posting vacancies, organising events, updating CRM system, maintaining case studies for stakeholders, etc.
  • Attend relevant careers fairs events to support learner attraction and engagement
  • Attend other events as required, such as awards, expos and relevant careers/job fairs to generate leads
  • Any other duties as directed by your line manager and/or a director
  • Compliance with all TDM policies, procedures and legal responsibilities, including ISO9001 and Cyber Essentials

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Training schedule

  • Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard: The successful candidate will undertake a fifteen-month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM
  • This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off-the-job training and monthly coaching sessions
  • You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification
  • You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of the programme will be assessed via an external assessment body

Desirable qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

Other requirements

Office-based (with Hybrid option once proficiency achieved and onboarded).

Must be able to travel to events in West Midlands and surrounding areas. Must be able to get to Worcester and Birmingham City Centre Office location.

Must be aged 19 and ideally based in the West Midlands Combined Authority area and able to commit to an 8 week bootcamp in Marketing from January to be guranteed an interview for the position.
