Summary

Warehouse Apprentice supporting stock control, picking/packing, dispatch, and inventory management. You’ll receive and store deliveries, prepare orders, use warehouse systems, and follow safety procedures. Full training provided, working toward a Level 2 Supply Chain qualification with potential progression.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

What You’ll Do:

  • Receive, check, and store deliveries of stock and spare parts
  • Pick and pack products for restocking machines across the UK
  • Monitor inventory levels and help manage stock rotation
  • Assist with preparing orders for our field operations and engineers
  • Pick pack and dispatch wholesale orders.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Use warehouse systems and stock management systems (full training provided)
  • Learn the fundamentals of supply chain operations through on-the-job training and classroom learning


What We’re Looking For:

  • A keen interest in logistics, supply chain, or warehousing
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 3/D or above) or willingness to work towards equivalent qualifications

  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
