As an Trainee Apprentice Coordinator, you will support the delivery of engaging learning and development initiatives across the organisation while studying towards your CIPD Level 3 in L&D. Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Development and Administration of Learning systems
  • Working closely with key stakeholders including external parties
  • To maintain LMS with the latest content & course offerings
  • Update and maintain accurate training records on LMS
  • Conducting regular audits of learning systems
  • Provide administrative support on a variety of C&D activities ensuring successful delivery of training, workshops, team events and projects
  • To provide reports and data to key stakeholders as required
  • Monitor the shared C&D inbox, ensuring responses are dealt with in a timely manner
  • To process purchase orders, invoices, credit notes and deal with associated queries
  • Provide C&D admin support and cover for other members of the team
  • To carry out any specific tasks and project work designated by the C&D Managers
  • Proactively communicate to staff and management any upcoming requirements where courses are due to expire and ensure refresher training is coordinated in a timely manner
  • Work with HSQE and compliance teams to ensure records are accurate and up to date
  • Capture training information on data platforms, ensuring it is entered accurately and certification produced and distributed and audited on a regular basis
  • Add and maintain CSCS card status
  • Assign training to new starts and make any necessary changes following reviews to role-based competence matrix

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Identification of training/learning needs: Identify and analyse learning needs: establish team and individual capability and learning gaps, in line with organisational performance outcomes and to enable effective evaluation. This may include the needs of the staff impacted by the move to a net carbon zero economy by 2050 and the requirements for a just transition.
  • Identification of training/learning needs: Use sound questioning and active listening skills to understand requirements and establish root causes i.e. establishing that it really is a learning/training need, before developing L&D solutions.
  • Identification of training/learning needs: Consult with stakeholders to draw out relevant information and provide feedback to inform learning and training needs requirements.
  • Identification of training/learning needs: Use effective analytical skills to seek out and analyse information.
  • Identification of training/learning needs: Take ownership through to resolution, escalating complex situations as appropriate
  • Training/Learning design: Design, construct and structure training / learning resources to meet a variety of needs, which will include:
  • Training/Learning design: Research of delivery options and resources including digital / online / blended solutions (including identifying existing resources)

Other requirements

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Good organisational and planning skills, able to prioritise work to tight deadlines. Good attention to detail and ability to audit data for accuracy. Able to work effectively in a team environment and on own initiative, both face to face & remotely. Proficient in core applications within Office 365 suite. Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Previous experience of administration role within construction Previous knowledge of systems would be an advantage.
