Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and operating engineering equipment and machinery.
  • Follow technical instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare work areas and materials for engineering tasks.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Accurately complete documentation and records.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

Maths and English (grade 4-9)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
