Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
To work within the marketing team creating imagery and providing support to other marketing activities including social media, content creation, campaign management and in-store promotions.
Comfortable and up to date with how to exploit the latest digital and social communication channels through design for marketing. An eye for impactful design of marketing and communications and keen to develop an understanding of how to take this to market through appropriate channels including email, social, web and advertising.
Duties and key responsibilities:
- Create and schedule Digital content (blogs, landing pages, mailshots and app notifications).
- Schedule and manage platforms.
- Optimise website SEO.
- Create and design branch adverts to help promote offers.
- Support on the development and execution of projects.
- Ensuring -marketing materials and digital assets are ready on time.
- Support the marketing team with day-to-day activities.

- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
- Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
- Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

- Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
- Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
- Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Strategically plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns across an array of digital and traditional media platforms.
- Develop, understand, and apply marketing briefs and plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and brand consistency.

Other requirements
Skills Required: • Demonstrate digital communications and social media marketing experience. • A proven track record in writing engaging content. • Previous use of social media as a business tool - advantageous. • A true passion for website optimisation through SEO. • Email marketing – Creation & analysis, open rates etc. • Have a creative eye for video and design as well as being passionate about creating engaging content. • Excellent design skills with good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. • Knowledge and experience of setting print artwork. • Social media brand development and marketing. • Email marketing (Mailchimp) – creation & analysis, open rates etc. • Usage of a website CMS platform to update basic content – HubSpot advantageous. • Experience in a similar or related role and a passion for all forms of Digital Marketing. • Experience working with main social channels Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. • Excellent Copywriting and CMS editing skills. • Experience setting up and managing Paid Social Media campaigns, with Facebook Ads Manager knowledge is desirable but not essential.
