Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join a reputable rainscreen manufacturer operating in the UK and abroad. You would be joining an established estimating team and will be supported in your development with the assistance of the Team, Sales Director and Estimating Manager.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Process tender arrivals and log enquiries
- Review and assess tenders, ensuring all tender documents are received and correct
- Assess projects in conjunction with the Estimating Manager and Technical Team prior to undertaking project assessments
- Calculate and prepare quantities in conjunction with the Estimating Manager
- Obtain quotations for materials and build relationships with existing and new supply chain partners
- Compile quotation letters, bills of quantities and other items required by the client
- Once the tender is completed, incorporate all relevant details, forward to the Sales Director for review and approval prior to submission
- Liaise with the client on an on-going basis to determine progress of quotation
- Make quotation amendments where applicable from the client or the design team
- Maintain sound and cooperative working relationships with clients.
- Develop project handover packs for formal handover to project management and production teams upon order receipt
- Liaise with internal project management, purchasing, technical, finance and production teams on a required basis
- Assist the Sales Team with issuing and logging sample requests.
- Utilise a CRM system and log appropriate information
- The post holder will also undertake any other duties as required

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Apply and integrate appropriate mathematical and technical knowledge in the completion of built environment site and/or office processes to contribute to the coordination of construction projects.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and procedures. Identify and document risks and hazards. Apply statutory and company environmental and safe working practices. Produce construction project risk assessment and method statements.
- Communicate verbally to internal and external stakeholders using a range of techniques in line with company policies.
- Interpret and abstract contract documentation to develop site solutions.
- Apply digital construction processes to produce resource lists from tender and contract documentation.
- The use of project tendering, measurement and costing systems to assist with the planning of schedules of work and to provide early warning of problems for all contract phases on site.
- Plan, carry out and manage own work in line with management requirements, assessing tasks, scheduling work, achieving deadlines, reviewing performance and keeping records of work undertaken.
- Apply sustainable principles and low carbon processes in order to implement site environmental solutions.
- Use information technology. For example, for document creation, communication, and information management. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Plan and undertake continued professional development (CPD) to maintain and enhance competence in their own area of practice.
- Communicate in written form to internal and external stakeholders using a range of techniques and reporting mechanisms in line with company policies, using construction and built environment terminology.

- All of the training will be completed remotely
- 2 Year Apprenticeship Programme
- Level 3 BTEC Foundation Diploma in Construction & Built Environment

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4+)
- Mathematics (grade 4+)
