Summary
Apprentice Transport Refrigeration Engineer in our Rushock workshop. Standard day to day job mainly includes installs of new units + repairs & maintenance of current refrigeration units. However we're a small team so candidate can put hand to metalwork or other tasks as well. Should ideally apply if have mechanical, electric and/or vehicle interest.

Other requirements
- Apprentice will need to be able to drive ideally. (our site is on an industrial estate between Kidderminster and Droitwich with poor bus links and is 3 miles from Hartlebury Station) - Also would be ideal to have an interest in transport and vehicles overall. - If the apprentice may have been interested in becoming a mechanic or is looking at a mechanic/garage job, this is an interesting branch off which is slightly different but requires very similar skills - We're right at the crux of a large movement from Diesel to fully Electric Vehicles - and this has meant a large amount of exciting changes in our industry in the last 3 years and carrying on for the next 5 years. If you want to be a part of an industry in which currently everyone is learning new things everyday - and if you have a strong interest in electrics and electronics and working with you hands - this is a great job!

After this apprenticeship
- The initial job following completion of the apprenticeship will be to become a qualified transport refrigeration engineer in our workshop
- As part of the apprenticeship - we will pay to put the apprentice through a week long F-Gas Certification Course, this is to ensure that they understand and can handle legally refrigerant gases. This is essential to full qualificaiton of becoming a transport refrigeration engineer
- This transport refigeration engineer is wholly workshop based, and following on from this there is potential in the future to become and Senior Transport Refrigeration Engineer
- Once you potentially become a Senior Transport Refrigeration Engineer, there is further potential to become a Mobile Engineer, whereby you can join our mobile Transport Refrigeration Team servicing and maintaining active refrigeration units on vehciles around the UK (mainly West-Mids, East-Mids, South West & Wales). This enables you to have your own service vehicle and become an independent transport refrigeration engineer - where you make and conduct a lot of your own work and timetable - and earn good money!
- If you're more interested in the actually fitting of refrigeration units and other tasks in a workshop though, the employee can stay as a senior fridge engineer in the workshop
