In this role the successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide technical support and expertise for all areas of the Engineering and Manufacturing function including communications software, test, analysis tools, measurement, off line programming, process control, performance and continuous improvement solutions, capacity planning, production scheduling/planning, product technical applications and capability, technical sales and marketing support, product development and innovation, engineering drawing, purchasing.

You will also be responsible for managing your own projects, including identifying and developing opportunities to use 3D Printing within our production process. This will involve creating and modifying 3D CAD components for 3D printing, creating 3D printed parts to compliment manufacturing activities and completing final inspection using our 3D inspection arm (Faro) and software.

Whilst learning and developing within this apprenticeship, you will also be able to help with the company’s transition to digital manufacturing processes via real time data collection from across the factory and managing this data via the latest appropriate software tools and assisting with the implementation of a new ERP system

Desired qualifications

Future prospects

Following successful completion of your Apprenticeship, you will progress into a full-time employed position within the business. In future, should a position become available, the opportunity would exist for you to progress to a Team Leader position.

Training will take place at Dudley College with a day release.

College day release will start September.
